PM: Maintaining Power is Only Way to Protect Peace

KANDAL: Prime Minister Hun Sen said that he retains power to keep the peace in Cambodia.

Speaking to more than 17,000 workers at CAM TON Industrial Park in the Kandal province this morning, the PM credited the nation’s peacetime for creating stable livelihoods, boosting the economy and keeping families together-all factors contributing to Cambodia’s development. He said that even his opponents need peace, yet they abuse peacetime by trying to destroy it.

He went on to say that he retains power to protect peace, adding that only the Cambodia People’s Party has the ability to maintain and defend the current state of peace.
